Spend a fun night out with friends and other GISAU members before you start your relaxing Thanksgiving weekend! Enrich your university experience by coming out to this social event and getting to know other people within the club and beyond. Coincidentally, it is also FABRIC's 2nd anniversary, so expect to meet a lot of familiar faces and mingle with new people!

Be sure not to pass this special night of KOO 2nd year Anniversary featuring DJ BLACKACE, DJ WAX, and DJ DA GRIFF who will play the latest HIP HOP, R&B and REGGAE!

GISAU Grand Slam!

UBC Tennis Centre
9.30 am - 4 pm

Do you play tennis? Why not show off that mean backhand (and a visor to match) at our annual September tennis tournament! Enjoy what’s left of Vancouver’s sunny days and develop your skills on and off the court as you meet new friends while playing sport. Registration fees are: Single - $10 (member) and $12 (non-member); Double - $16 (member) and $20 (non-member). There will be awesome prizes for our top 2 winners in each category!

The tennis ball giant, Penn, has joined the fight against breast cancer and created the Pink Ball. This optic pink felt, championship quality tennis ball is designed to promote awareness of breast cancer and help provide funds to research a cure. Penn donates a portion of sales from each can of pink tennis balls to breast cancer research. We are using these pink Penn tennis balls for the GISAU Grand Slam! What's better than playing with pink balls all while helping the fight against breast cancer?

Trophies and medals aside, the Penn pink tennis balls are also up for grabs! We are going to have a door prize at the end of the tournament, so come and watch, join, and enjoy this awesome sport competition!

Clubs Days

Learn more about our club and the benefits from joining us at GISAU. These include discounts courtesy of our generous sponsors (click on 'Sponsors' on the Site Menu to learn more about them!), special admission and registration fees for our upcoming events, and of course membership to the coolest Indonesian club on campus.

Other than that, we will also be giving out freebies to our new and returning members, which include folders, pens and Indomie! A year-long membership costs only $10, so don't forget to sign up as a member during one of these three days!

Executive Dinner-Meeting

We had our first exec dinner-meeting on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Sate Satu, one of our featured sponsors for 2008-09 and it was a lot of fun! All of us got to know each other pretty well and we hope that we'll be able to perform as a solid team to deliver fun and epic events to all of you!
